Submitted for a baby
Our home study is being submitted for an African American baby girl. She is 10 months old and in perfect health. Her biological parent's rights have been terminated and she is legally free for adoption. So, we should know something about her in a few weeks. Please just pray that this little girl would get the family she deserves, whether it's us or not.

So what does it mean when you say "submitted"? Are there people somewhere that review all the applicants for a particular child, then they "vote" or something as to which family they think will best suit the kid?
From what I understand, our home study is submitted along with who knows how many others. Then some people (??) narrow it down to about three. Then those three families are "presented" via a photo album and an advocate as a family for the baby. Then a judge (??) selects a family. And that's that. Which basically means that we could be waiting until we're well into retirement.
Yeah, that's basically it.
Hey Jenny, I am glad to hear that you have been submitted. It could happen faster than you think. We went to work on Monday, Oct. 30th as a family of two and came home that evening as a family of three. We waited so long and then all of a sudden here he is. Jackson is cute! I know he will make a great big brother to whoever God has for you. If you want to see what our guy looks like, you can go to our blog. He is very handsome!
