6:00 a.m.

Mikey has been waking up at 6:00 or before 6:00 a.m. almost everyday. It's really, really hard to like him that early. I know he's a gift but it's really hard to remember that at 6:00 a.m.

So, what's the trick for getting a toddler to sit for pictures? We'll have our Christmas pic done once I get a hair appointment scheduled and our boy does NOT sit still, unless he's asleep.

This is what I wrote on my other blog when you asked that.

With that age, I might not have a lot of luck getting him to sit still either. This little man isn’t getting around much yet so he didn’t have any choice but to sit. I think from the age of about 15 months to 2 or 3 is the hardest age. They’re all over the place and not really capable of following directions. You just have to do lots of running, laying in the grass, singing, and snap LOTS of pictures. And I think sometimes kids pay attention to me because I’m a new face that says and does weird things. We have almost no luck getting good pictures of Mikey.

I'll also add, candy, singing, funny noises will sometimes work. But really they don't sit still at this age. You just have to be ready if they decide to sit for 5 seconds.

Where are you getting your picture done or are you guys doing it yourself? That's really hard to do. We opted out of trying a whole family picture this year. It would have been impossible with Mikey.

We're going to try to have a friend take them.

It's going to be an adventure!
